IN a hard fought game Malvern Seagulls were hit by an early try but they brushed themselves down and went to the Luctonians' half.

MALVERN SEAGULLS 19pts, LUCTONIANS 22pts

There, quick work from T Jones, running a third of the pitch and passing the ball to S Smith, brought a score for the Seagulls.

This was always going to be a hard game specially as Luctonians played 15 men against Malvern's 14 and the first half finished 12-5.

Around quarter of an hour into the second half Tim Jones got sin binned for kicking a Luctonian in the back of the leg after the ball was dead. Unfort-unately the referee missed the Luctonian players' earlier misdemeanours.

Even when the Seagulls were down to 13, M Parry got through and scored in the corner, S Holmes converting.

Lucs then got two quick tries but Malvern then came straight back with J Williams scoring from a run from the half way line before Lucs scored a late winner.
