WORCESTER 6 TAMWORTH 2

Worcester opened their account in this DTZ Midland League Two match with a fine victory.

The home team started slowly and found themselves 1-0 down after only five minutes.

This spurred Worcester into action and midfield dominance allowed the forwards to go close on numerous occasions.

After 10 minutes a poor tackle on Marcus Bolton resulted in a penalty stro-ke which was duly converted by Chris Adams.

After 20 minutes Adams was again the scorer following a well worked short corner move.

The second half saw Worcester gain total control with Bolton adding a further goal.

This was quickly followed by a simple tap in for Alex Kotlarzewski after a fine 10 pass attack.

Further goals from Kotlarzewski and Bolton completed the rout. Tamworth scored a consolation goal in the last minute.

Pershore's DTZ League campaign got off to the worst possible start when they were beaten 5-0 by Yardley.
