CHASE High School pupils were among the representatives who helped launch a new work initiative in Malvern on Wednesday.
They lined up alongside inventor Trevor Bayliss and Worcester MP Mike Foster at the Abbey Hotel to profile a new Herefordshire and Worcestershire Education Business Link Consortium led by the area's Chamber of Commerce.
Other groups such as Young Enterprise are also involved and will help organise initiatives such as business mentoring and work shadowing.
Teachers could also be found places in business to become more commercially focused in aspects of their work.
Consortium spokeswoman Hannah Edwards said: "We are working to promote business and education and links across the two, with the aim of preparing young people for the world of work."
