The other day I was walking along the Worcester Road near Brays in the middle of the afternoon when suddenly I heard a bird singing and I realised the traffic was held up both ways for some distance.
The silence was so complete except for this bird and I was able to savour it for about three minutes until the traffic was let loose again
It made me realise how we take noise for granted and realise what we miss when there is none.
