MEMBERS of Upton Youth Band will be blowing their hearts out in a national competition on Sunday.
Their efforts at competitions throughout the year have propelled the group to seventh place in the British Young Band Association league, earning them a place in the finals at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena.
The marching band, which has members aged eight to 15, consists entirely of brass and percussion instruments.
Meanwhile, a fundraising event for the band will take place at Pundits Restaurant, in Upton, on Sunday, October 21, when a carvery-type menu will be available over three sittings.

The band's annual general meeting will take place at Upton Social Club on Thursday, October 25, at 7pm.
A ceremony will be held to mark the fact that several members have notched up five years' service with the band.
