This year's best kept garden competition winners in Hartpury are Mr and Mrs Roger Bowler who were awarded the Gough Cup for the best overall garden and the Brownjohn Rosebowl went to Mr and Mrs Richard Evans. Congratulations. In the Bledisloe Cup Competition for the best kept village Hartpury was highly commended.

Two important lots of road works are taking place in Hartpury, the first was due to start on October 1 at the junction of the access road to Hartpury College with A417 and is expected to continue until Christmas. Some of the mature trees will have to be removed in an attempt to make this accident black spot safer. Although there are bound to be delays when single line will be necessary I'm sure users of the A417 and Murrells End will be very pleased when it is done.

Also in Hartpury there are road works going on along Corsend Road and at the time of writing the road is closed. Everyone without exception will be pleased that the damage caused by traffic when it was diverted due to road closures at Maisemore due to flooding is being repaired.
