WANTED. Roofers are urgently needed to help fill jobs in Worcester's roofing industry over the next five years.
The National Construction College in Birmingham is to run a two-year, NVQ level 2 roof sheeting and cladding course in January next year to help meet industry demand.
The course is open to school leavers aged between 16 and 21 and accommodation is provided for students outside the Birmingham area.
The course combines high quality vocational training and valuable hands-on experience.
"UK roofing companies are on standby ready to sponsor successful applicants throughout the course," said Gary Derrick, manager of the National Construction College.
"More than 95 per cent of our trainees go straight into careers with good pay and in some cases travel extensively worldwide locations," said Mr Derrick.
