HOW ironic that Worcester's Labour representatives, at all levels, are so keen to support a big business bid to destroy a local community.
The general theme is that St John's should be glad that someone (anyone) wants to build a new school and any attendant problems should be forgotten in the rejoicing.
Perhaps I should remind all those who are so happy to adopt the Labour badge, as a ticket to guaranteed electoral success, that the party was formed by trade unionists to protect the ordinary people.
If the founding principles still held good today, our Labour representatives would be making every effort to gain public funds for Christopher Whitehead School.
Instead they roll over and play dead at the first sign of private money - regardless of the wider implications for the community.
