Kath Oakley's entry for the Lady Denman Cup was highly commended. A chair has been purchased, which will be inscribed on the back with the group's name.
On Wednesday there is a social evening at Areley Kings parish rooms. On October 24 the group meeting will be held at Far Forest Hall, with Simon Chorley speaking on Antiques. On October 30 there will be the half-yearly council meeting at Stourport Civic Centre, when the main speaker will be Bededicta Sewell, on Borneo 2001.
A Christmas trip to Oxford has been organised for November 28.
The annual meeting will be held on Wednesday, when the Denman bursary award will be drawn. Susan Owen will be at the meeting.
