BROMYARD Town beat Worcester City 2-1 to reach the second round of the Worcester Royal Infirmary Senior Cup last night.

After a delayed start due to a power failure, Bromyard took a first-half lead with a Nathan Owen header following Rik Halion's free-kick.

Three minutes before the break Worcester broke away for Jon Warman to equalise.

But three minutes into the second half, substitute Dave Phillips made an excellent run down the right to put Bromyard back in front, and they held on despite late Worcester pressure.

City's first team travel down to Cornwall tomorrow ready for their FA Cup third qualifying round clash with South-Western League side St Blazey on Saturday.

Darren Preece scored Pegasus Juniors' goal as they lost 2-1 at lowly Harrow Hill in the Hellenic League Premier Division.
