THUNDER stopped play for 30 minutes as Ferndale U-14s stormed back from 3-1 down to beat Kynoch 5-3.

Goals were scored by Holly Penwarden, Kirsty Robson (two each) and Stacy Whittall.

Ferndale U-16s had a comfortable 6-2 win at Bustlehome to put them top of the North Warwickshire U-16 League.

Sam Rogers, Amanda Bowden (two each), Nicki Palmer and Nicole Allison were all on target.

Ferndale U-13s met Hednesford for the first time with an injury-weakened squad and drew 2-2.

The game was also halted by a storm but both sides produced excellent displays.

Ferndale, who missed several chances, scored through Rebecca Monington and Kirsty Sheppard.

Meanwhile, young stars Kirsty Hughes and Lucy McLoughlin are injured at the moment so cannot train with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A Wyre Forest development team, made up of Ferndale, Mostyn Red Devils and Meadow Park,will take on Wolves' centre of excellence.
