WYRE Forest had to fight all the way as a late winner gave them a 3-2 success over Ludlow Town Reserves in West Midlands Division One South.
Forest took a 10th minute lead when Stuart Brogan's cross was headed home by Richard Hughes.
Ludlow equalised through Robert Vass then took the lead in the closing minutes of the first half when Neil Lewis headed in from a corner.
But Forest gained the equaliser 10 minutes into the second half when substitute Mark Meeses' run and cross ended with Brogan's hammer finish.
Forest controlled most of the second half but a draw looked the likely result until Matthew Carter's unstoppable shot four minutes from time gave them all three points.
Fixture, Saturday: Wyre Forest v Lye Town Reserves (League, players to report to the ground at 1.30pm).
