All Blacks 0, Bishampton 5

BISHAMPTON recorded their second Worcester League win of the season last Saturday.

The visitors got off to the ideal start when they took a fifth minute lead after Nick Turner's run and cross was turned in by Matt Bicknell.

All Blacks, with the strong wind and driving rain at their backs had plenty of possession, but failed to make any impression on the visitors' defence,

United went further ahead when Andrew Murphy coolly placed the ball into the net after racing clear.

The last 15 minutes of the first half saw All Blacks press to get back into the game and keeper Dave Wright made a fine save. This lifted the home side but Wright was only called upon once more before the interval.

Bishampton secured their welcome three points in a 15-minute spell, midway through the second period when they scored three times, on each occasion the players went clear of a static home defence.

Murphy scored twice to complete his hat-trick and Turner, who had run the home defence ragged all afternoon, deservedly got on the score sheet.

Both teams continued to play good football but the visitors restricted All Blacks to few opportunities to reduce the arrears and finished comfortable winners.
