I COULD not believe last week's article regarding the high quality security fence that Evesham Foods, one of the biggest employers in the town were hoping to erect, for the Evesham Town councillors to oppose it by saying it would spoil the look of the area is pathetic and absolute rubbish, after all it is located in a 'industrial estate'.
If the firm had to close with the loss of 450 jobs because of security seasons, would these same councillors be happy with their decision? I think not, especially when polling day arrives.
I sincerely hope that the Wychavon District councillors show wisdom and common sense and give Evesham Foods the go-ahead for their security plans.
