A DRIVER who fled from a forecourt when a cashier told him she was going to check the Visa card he presented was using someone else's car without permission, Kidderminster magistrates heard.

Paul Fettis, 24, of Bradley Thursfield Court, Kidderminster, was bailed for a report after he admitted obtaining petrol worth £10 by deception and taking the car without permission.

The owner was abroad at the time and had not given Fettis permission to use the car or the bank card, the court was told.
