FIREFIGHTERS are warning hoax callers they will be traced and prosecuted.
Kidderminster station has had a spate of malicious calls in the past few weeks, and received three on Monday night.
One of the callers even claimed his daughter had been set alight.
"When we're going to these malicious calls we are unable to go to other incidents," said a firefighter.
"It has become a bit of a trend among young people who are doing it on mobile phones thinking they can't be traced.
"In fact we can trace mobile numbers as easily as land lines, and if we can prove the calls were made, it will lead to a prosecution."
