KARTING: Kart star Oliver George raced away with a championship after five rounds of competing around the country.
The Chaddesley Corbett ace clinched a third place in the grand final of a National Kart Racing Association meet in Fulbeck, Lincolnshire.
And George's efforts meant he lifted the Southern National Championship title after past good displays at tracks in Kent, Devon, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
The top competitiors from each class converged on Fulbeck with George competing in the Senior TKM section.
He had to make do with an 11th position in his first eight-lap heat but improved for the second race with fifth place, 4.26 seconds behind the leader.
However, George saved his best display for the A final over 10 laps as he recorded a time of 10 minutes 33.71 seconds, 13.81 seconds behind winner Luke Johnson.
He said: "I'd like to thank my sponsors for their support over the years."
