A HEADLESS Cross dog needed help from the PDSA after suffering from a form of alopecia.
One-year-old Holly was admitted to Quinton PDSA PetAid hospital after bald patches appeared.
But after visiting the PDSA team, Holly's condition has improved and her hair has started to grow back.
Veterinary nurse Mary Mullender said the skin complaint was caused by pigment abnormalities in the hair.
She added: "Bald patches can be seen in affected dogs from about six weeks of age. It affects the black or dark areas only on bi-coloured or tri-coloured dogs."
