AFTER the summer months, there was much to catch up with at the meeting on September 24.

The outing to St Martin's Church in Birmingham Bull Ring in July and the Wave of Prayer in September had both been successful.

Three special anniversaries had been held during August and September. Beth and Rob Powers and Noreen and Eric Harrison had reached their golden wedding anniversaries while Alan and Heather Hill had celebrated their ruby wedding.

The evening took the form of a Bible study, with prayers and reflection on St Paul's second letter to the Corinthians, parts of chapters five and six, led by Dorothy Cooper and Norma Walters.

Members had been invited to take along family heirlooms or some item which they had been given which had been an inspiration to them in their Christian journey.

A bring-and-buy table, based on a harvest theme, was held for branch funds.

At the next meeting on October 22, Rosemary Roberts will speak about her role as a magistrate.
