REDDITCH continue to command the league with their latest emphatic win over a mid-table team.

The game started slowly, with Redditch, despite having most of the play, unable to break the deadlock.

Finally, Mandy Ellicott broke the stalemate, capitalising on a defensive error.

This was quickly followed by Natalie Plant's first goal of the season, and a superb run down the right hand side by Phil Pate, whose perfect cross was skilfully converted by Ellicott, to bring the score to 3-0 by half-time.

The torrential rain didn't dampen the spirits of the opposition, but despite this a Natalie Lawrence shot at goal was handled and the penalty given to Redditch saw Rachel Hopkins slam home another.

Player of the match Mandy Ellicott added to her tally with two searing goals taken from distance. Sarah Edney then set the score with a calm touch after a quickly taken free kick in the penalty area.
