DEAR EDITOR - On my way to ASDA for my weekly shop early last Saturday morning I could not help noticing the amount of rubbish on the pavements.
A closer look showed it was clear that the contents of the bins alongside the Labour Club, Bromsgrove School, as well as three or four bins along Charford Road, had all been deliberately emptied on the pavements.
How can Bromsgrove District Council, or any authority for that matter, keep the town's pavements clean and tidy with such mindless behaviour?
However much the council spends on litter picks, road sweepers and refuse collectors, it will all be wasted if the residents of the town themselves do not keep an eye on such mindless activities, and report the incident as soon as it happens.
One or two well publicised arrests and prosecutions should make people think twice about indulging in such activities. It is our money being wasted!
Angered,
(Name and address supplied).
