LITTER, gangs and vandalism have been cited as problems by Woodrow residents, writes Becky Procter.
More than 40 households responded to a Redditch Community Safety Partnership questionnaire.
The survey also showed residents were not concerned about empty shops or noisy neighbours.
The results, part of a townwide survey, prompted Redditch Council neighbourhood officers to launch a door-knocking exercise to ask residents what they want.
An action plan will be drawn up in December although work on certain problems such as the mural project has already started.
Youngsters from the estate have been involved to make the centre more attractive through artwork.
She added there had been a reduction in complaints about youths in the centre compared to the same time 12 months ago.
