DRIVERS will park on the roads around Barnt Green train station rather than pay a £2 fee when charges are introduced, a councillor who represents the village on Bromsgrove District Council has warned.
Cllr Margaret Taylor (Con) told a meeting of the policy and resource committee on October 2 that congestion would result and "the whole commercial atmosphere of Barnt Green could be destroyed."
Councillors voted to send a strongly worded letter to Central Trains spelling out their concerns.
