TEMPERS flared on Monday when motor-ists using the A38 endured delays of up to 45 minutes as questionnaires were handed out as part of a road census.
The survey, being carried out by a firm for councils across the West Midlands, is undertaken every ten years to plan long term transport strategies.
Some drivers complained of waiting in tailbacks from the Lydiate Ash island to The Plough pub, in the centre of Rubery.
A minor accident at around 6.15pm resulted in further delays.
