A BROMSGROVE school is celebrating after receiving an excellent Ofsted report.
Staff at Finstall First School, in Carnforth Road, are delighted with the report following a visit by four inspectors in June.
The report said the school achieves levels in English, mathematics and science which are well above average.
Standards of teaching were praised and headteacher Tecwyn Richards's leadership was said to be strong and dynamic.
Children were commended for their attitude and behaviour in and out of the classroom.
Almost all of Finstall's pupils are white and from a favourable residential area.
The report said this could be a reason for the school failing to achieve appropriate standards in teaching the richness and variety of other cultures in Britain.
It also recommends improvements are made in information technology and other non-core subjects.
