TOWNSPEOPLE are being urged to admire and learn about the countryside this month by taking part in a walk in one of the woods around the Bromsgrove area.

Pepper Wood will be open to the public this month during two organised walks to raise awareness about the wood and to try and encourage support to fight the loss of woodland.

Organised by the Woodland Trust, the walks will take place on October 21, starting off at 11 am and 2pm.

It will be around an hour and a half and will take the walker through some beautiful parts of woodland and give them the opportunity to ask the guide questions about what work is being undertaken at that time.

For more information people can ring Ian Penn on (01527) 876086 or alternatively turn up on the day at the wood in Dordale Road, Bournheath.
