Chawson Old Boys 3
Droitwich Meadow Celtic 2
Bromsgrove Advertiser/Messenger District League DivisionThree
OLD Boys had to come from behind twice before finally finishing off a well-organised Meadow Celtic side.
Meadow Celtic started the brighter and deservedly took the lead on ten minutes. It took a bit of magic from Dave Moss to draw level on 20 minutes, weaving his way through defenders before slotting home from 25 yards.
Meadow soon regained the lead, giving keeper Harrison no chance.
After the break Old Boys finally woke up and drew level on 55 minutes when a Mark Bowen corner was only partially cleared. The ball fell invitingly for Neil Williams who unleashed an unstoppable shot from the edge of the 18-yard box.
The winner finally came on 75 minutes with man of the match Derrick Adams scoring. Meadow Celtic kept pressing for the equaliser but could find no way past Old Boys' defence, with Spencer Paxton outstanding.
