Rating: Five star
I'M barely in my teens, I'm in a tank-top, I'm yearning for a feather-cut like my friends and David and Donny are fighting for space on my bedroom wall.
For anyone old enough to remember the Partridge Family, this CD is poignant.
Just a few bars of How Can I Be Sure and you have David, the skinny-ribbed pin-up with the smile a mile wide.
The old favourites include I Think I Love You, Cherish and Daydreamer and stand up well. There may be a hint of Eurovision but they are as attractive as they were in the 70s.
It's a slight disappointment that David's voice has lost its breathy teenage hunger but he is still more Robbie Williams than Andy Williams.
His new work shows he isn't languishing in past glory, but punching out new sounds.
David's duet of Could It Be Forever with Hear'Say is excellent, despite David's performance being overshadowed by the sheer vigour of the youngsters.
That said, he can still show them a thing or two - good cheek bones, a winsome smile and a talent enduring enough to bring out an album nearly 30 years after he first took the nation's breath away.
