Another three points and another clean sheet for Stourport Swifts as they beat Racing Club Warwick 1-0 in the Dr Martens Western Division.

Simon Marsh netted the goal that gave the Swifts their first league double of the season.

But it was far from a classic display by Rod Brown's team as they made hard work of one of the league's perennial strugglers.

It took Marsh just eight minutes to register his fourth goal of the season, heading into an empty net after Lee Booth's looping header hit the bar.

There were plenty of chances for Swifts to add to the lead, Marsh heading inches over from a Lea Shaw corner while Booth, Marsh and Willie Dunn all had efforts saved before the interval.

But the visitors finished the half strongly and almost equalised when Kim Green slipped the ball to Craig Martin whose shot flew just wide.

Boosted by that near miss, Warwick made a game of it in the second period with Darren Weston twice going close before Chris Goodman blazed over from a good position.

For Swifts, Booth twice found the keeper blocking his way from Alex Cowley crosses before a diving header from Dunn forced an excellent save from Craig Dutton.

Swifts: Clarke 6, Southwick 6, Charlton 7, Mulders 7, Davies 8, Shaw 5 (Hackett 86), Cowley 7 (Knight 82), A. Nicholls 5, Marsh 7, Booth 7, Dunn 6. Sub not used: T. Nicholls.

Redditch United slumped to another disappointing defeat, 2-0 at fellow strugglers Rocester.

Rocester took the lead after just two minutes when United defender Andy Bradley stumbled allowing Harvey Russell to fire home.

Best chance for the visitors came when Paul Danks collected a knockdown by Nigel Niblett only to shoot wide.

Substitute Richard Swain extended Rocester's lead in the second half, beating the offside trap on the left before cutting inside to shoot home.
