FIELDING just 11 players, this new Redditch team, playing uphill, took the game to the visitors from the whistle.
Captain David Stone, scored first for the hosts.
His second came after a tap penalty running through the staggered defence.
Halesowen replied with a converted try.
In the second half Redditch opened the scoring when great passing from Daniel Grey and Alex Moss allowed Luke Ward to score, converted by David Stone.
But the visitors ran in six tries.
