KINGS Norton's up-and-down start to the season continued with a heavy loss to early leaders Earlsdon at the weekend.
Mark Waudby's men were no match for the home side who extended their winning streak.
The Hopwood side started the match without back row regulars James Norman and Martin Auster before losing number eight Rory McLean with a head injury.
And things went from bad to worse as outside centre Mat James was forced off the field with a dislocated shoulder.
But the Kings skipper said his side were bloodied but unbowed.
"Earlsdon played well but they were nothing to be afraid of," said Waudby
"I would certainly fancy our chances at home.
"We had people out of position and had players out but it was still disappointing not to win.
"There is no need to panic."
McLean and James are set to be rested at the weekend as Norton cross the road to play near neighbours Five Ways Old Edwardians in a friendly (ko 3pm).
