THROUGH your paper, I would like to appeal to the dog owners of Astwood Bank who exercise their pets along the public footpath from Gorsey Close to New Road.
This path is not a toilet for your dogs.
Last Tuesday, I cleared up no less than 16 items of dog litter.
It is not my job to do this but as a responsible resident, I fear for the safety of children and the elderly who use this pathway to go to school and the shops. To slip and fall on this filth is no joke.
I would like to remind these irresponsible people that if caught, there is quite a big fine.
Please take your litter home with you or suffer the consequences.
I for one would not hesitate to bring a prosecution against these thoughtless people.
