YOUR understandably anonymous correspondent last week may well find the idiot-proof 'get in lane' signs would show who the idiot is.
If the junction WERE a crossroads, his route would be straight ahead, that is, not leaving the A441 and therefore not requiring the use of the righthand lane.
The right turn here is for Coldfield Drive leading to Tesco's, McDonalds and Headless Cross, resulting in heavy use.
To be apparently making that turn and then suddenly shooting into Rough Hill Drive is bound to result in 'horn blasting' from those in the correct lane.
What does he suppose all that space to his left is for?
Might I suggest he still has something to learn by following the driving instructor or, better still, following a police driver through that maneouvre?
Now I have to admit I passed my test in 1964 but I believe we still drive on the left in this country.
The actual turn into Rough Hill Drive is a problem having only one lane and is rather tight.
It needed resurfacing a couple of years ago due to the wear caused by the then predominately rear wheel drive cars accelerating around the bend.
I would think there is room to reshape it to accommodate our friend but, by all means, let's make it idiot proof.
