TWELVE Droitwich Spa workers have been made redundant following the closure of a town discount shop.
The Catalogue Bargain Store, at Berry Hill Industrial Estate, has closed down to make way for the expansion of neighbouring company Reality.
The shop was managed by home shopping firm Great Universal Stores (GUS). Reality is the logistics arm of the operation.
A GUS spokeswoman said: "All posts have been made redundant but staff were offered other jobs.
"The decision was taken because our sister company needed space to expand operations."
The shop sold a variety of household goods at discount prices.
