WORCESTER'S Action Against Flooding committee (WAAF) will be meeting with the Environment Agency and Severn Trent to answer a host of questions.

The committee, which was set up in the wake of last year's flooding, would like members of the public with unanswered questions to let them know.

They will be meeting the EA on Tuesday, October 30 in Shrewsbury.

"We've already had some success," said Mary Dhonau, chairman of the group, of Waverley Street, Diglis.

"Severn Trent are putting in non-return valves in the drains near to the Severn View Hotel and soon they'll be putting cameras down the drains.

"They certainly do seem to be trying hard to address Worcester's sewage problems."

The committee has so far held two meetings to discuss what action can be taken to prevent the flooding misery which hit homes in all parts of the city.

If anyone has a question they would like asked to the EA or Severn Trent then it can be sent to the WAAF c/o Severn View Hotel, Worcester.
