AFTER three years of fund-raising, children staying at the Alexandra Hospital have somewhere to play.
A £35,000 playground was officially opened on Saturday.
The hospital's League of Friends set up the appeal after concerns there had been no play area for children for five years.
The project suffered a number of setbacks in the past, including a failed lottery bid, poor weather conditions and the need for a replacement hospital roof.
