MOTORISTS using a car park in Bromsgrove town centre may not be driven to distraction by confusing signs for much longer.
Bromsgrove District Council is to look at improving signs at the back of New Road car park where several motorists have been clamped after mistaking private land for an extension of the council owned park.
The leader of the Labour group on Bromsgrove District Council Cllr Peter McDonald (Uffdown and Waseley) raised the matter at a meeting of the full council meeting last week.
It followed a story highlighted by the Advertiser/Messenger recently in which we told how a woman was forced to pay to have her vehicle unclamped after making a genuine error.
Councillors gave the motion their unanimous support after council leader Cllr Nick Psirides (Con, Norton) said he would ask officers to investigate.
