RAGLEY Hall has ordered an exquisite hand-woven carpet for the Red Saloon.
The carpet design is based on one from Lahore, India, circa 1650, in colours suited to the interior of the room.
The room dates from the mid-late 18th century, when Thomas Witty, of Axminster, was working closely with architectural designers such as Robert Adam and Wyatt, who designed Ragley.
