LOCAL golf duo John Bickerton and David Park both missed the cut at the Smurfit European Open golf championship in Dublin.
Droitwich's Bickerton shot a second successive 74 to leave him four-over-par, three shots adrift of the cut-off point, while Hereford's Park finished on 151 after a 76 yesterday.
Ian Woosnam is in sight of his first victory in four years after a second round of 66 left him on nine-under-par for a share of second place.
Woosnam is alongside Norwegian Henrik Bjornstad and three strokes behind Swedish leader Mikael Lundberg - and should either of the Scandinavians capture the £333,330 first prize tomorrow then a season of surprises will have had by far its biggest yet.
