The countryside and conservation officer for Wyre Forest, Paul Allen, gave a talk on Biodiversity in the Wyre Forest, telling how the nature reserves are managed, and how children are encouraged to enjoy the countryside, taking an active interest in their local area.

He spoke about nearby Redstone Marsh with its wild flowers. Cattle have had an important part to play there, particularly in destroying the Himalayan balsam.

The next meeting will feature a talk by Suzenne Moule, health and safety officer, and entitled Sensory Impairment, a Handicap Today?.

This meeting will be on July 18 at St Wulstan's Church, starting at 7.30pm.
