Further to last week's story regarding the Regal Cinema, I would wish to respond specifically to the comments made by Evesham Regal Trust indicating a lack of financial support from Wychavon District Council.
For the record it is important to note that senior officers and members from the Council attended a presentation from the Trust back in February of this year.
At the end of this presentation officers provided the Trust with information about the Council's Community Grant scheme and invited an application to be made. The application deadline for the scheme was May 31. I have to report that over 150 community organisations have applied but no application has been received from the Regal Trust.
