THE hard work paid off for Kidderminster's Samantha Williams after she clinched her black belt in freestyle kickboxing.
Williams, a 13-year-old St John's Middle School pupil, passed with flying colours, according to her instructors at Stourport's Eclipse Martial Arts Centre.
She trains three to four nights a week and has been involved with the sport for the last five years.
Eclipse chief instructor Will Jennings said: "Her loyalty, respect and honour has proved her worthy of the ultimate grade."
And dedicated Williams is regularly involved in competitions at weekends.
