Malvern Town aim to be chasing the Banks's Brewery League title next season.

Town's draw at Bromyard last Thursday meant they missed out on an equal best spot of sixth place, but Town assistant boss Richard Anson has bigger ambitions.

"To me sixth or seventh is not so much of an issue, it was what we need to do to turn intoa championship challenging side that will occupy most of our thoughts during the Summer.

"There is no doubt that we have become a difficult side to beat, but sixteen draws tell there own story. Had we turned just half of those into wins, we would have been looking at a top three spot.

"Overall though, we have progressed, we finished higher than last season, got substantially more points, lost less games and have a very encouraging number of good young players on the verge of breaking through. We also reached the Urn final again for a second successive season.

"Both Joe and myself know where we need to strengthen and we have already indentified the players we would like to sign.

"Off the field most people are aware of our relocation plans and will have more to say about that in a couple of weeks, but alongside that we are looking at the whole of our structure and have discussed some quite exciting developments with Andy Norman of the WFA.

"Again, we will have more to say in due course, but we could be on the verge of a new era for Malvern Town Football Club."

Town are also looking to increase their Commercial revenue by adding to their roster of advertisers and sponsors.

The club's Player(s) Of The Year Presentation Evening will be held at the Town Social Club on June 16, starting at 7.30pm. There will be a disco and admission is free.

Andy Shepherd's 90th minute strike rescued Town at Bromyard, where they had been trailing to a 20th minute Luke Johnson goal.

Malvern had survived a penalty scare in the 75th minute when Matthew Beale was impeded by Nick Clayton, but the impressive Bromyard midfielder still managed to get a shot in on goal, before the referee awarded a free kick on the edge of the area.
