RON Mole, 67, who lives in Exhall, has been married for 39 years and has two adult children, both married, and two grandchildren.

He worked in the field of administration and publicity and is now retired.

In 1963, Mr Mole was an agent for the Liberal Party in the Edgbaston by-election.

From 1963-65, he stood three times for Birmingham Council, also with the Liberal Party.

In 1997, he stood for the Referendum Party in North Warwickshire and a year later he stood for Stratford Council, Barden Ward, for the Liberal Democrats.

Mr Mole lists his spare time activities as recently qualifying as a cricket umpire, playing the game when allowed, editing the Royal Air Force 7 Squadron newsletter, assisting with the parish newsletter and campaigning to take Britain out of the European Union.

Mr Mole said: "Voting for the UKIP has been described as a wasted vote. I would ask you, 'How would you describe a vote cast for a political party that is committed to giving control of your country to a foreign power?'

''Now ask yourselves, 'Which description do you find preferable?'

"The policy of the three major parties on the issue of the EU are very similar.

''The Liberal Democrats would have accepted the Euro yesterday, the Labour Party would accept the Euro today and the Conservative Party will undoubtedly accept the Euro tomorrow."
