I am campaigning for Fair Funding for Worcestershire schools and for the scrapping of the disgraceful tuition fees as Lib Dems have done in Scotland.

I support the retention of casualty facilities at Kidderminster as well as Worcester - the current NHS plans mean cuts in acute beds for Worcestershire. We need to upgrade the community hospital network and recruit, train and retain more doctors, nurses and health professionals.

I want our pensioners to live free of the fear of poverty, guaranteed a decent pension without means tests, and nursing home care which does not involve having to sell their homes.

Crime and vandalism are problems in our towns and villages. We need more police - numbers fell under both Tories and Labour - as well as schemes to provide activities and leisure facilities for youngsters.

On transport, we need to upgrade the Cotswold Line for the benefit of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire travellers. I also seek agreement between the two county administrations to define a network of roads suitable for HGVs.

These issues are the main thrust of my campaign in the constituency, but I am also proud of Liberal Democrat policies on the countryside and the environment, on Europe and on asylum seekers.
