Broadway Golf Club was the venue for the Gloucestershire County Coronation Medals on Thursday, attracting a huge entry of some 160 players from across the county in the combined silver and bronze medals.
Mollie King-Smith, of BGC, was the local success, winning the best gross in the bronze division with 94-21-73. The healthy rough contributed to the CSS being raised to 74.
The LGU Medal 4 played on May 22 saw four handicap reductions. Jenny Brotherton triumphed in division 1 with a score of 85-15-70 over Sheila Aitkenhead 87-13-74.
Division 2 was won by Juliet Enderby 97-24-73 from Joan Gisbourne 96-21-75 and Division 3 saw three of the handicap reductions: Winner Hazel Dickonson 104-35-69 on countback from Lesley Gee 98-29-69. Third was Maggie Wakefield 101-31-70.
The winner of the putting competition was Viv Milner with 28 points.
