A STEREO system and speakers worth about £120 were stolen from the waiting room at Redditch Citizens Advice Bureau last Monday.

The system, which had been used for about a year to play music to waiting clients, was stolen between 1.30-3pm.

Julia Docherty, of the Unicorn Hill branch, said. "We are very disappointed.

"The system was on top of a cupboard and the thief would have had to climb up onto a chair to take it, which wouldn't have been a particularly easy job.

"The waiting room was fairly quiet on Monday afternoon and this gave the thief an ideal opportunity once they waited for the receptionist to be out of sight.

"Clients will now have to wait in silence until we can replace it, but being a charity, this may take some time."
