FORGET Liverpool Football Club's trophy success this season -- meet the winners of the Bridlington Grand Pairs Cribbage Finals, Millfields Social Club.
The six-strong team beat Hereford outfit the Three Horseshoes 6-3 to win the shield, entered by 48 teams across the country.
Their glory came after reaching the quarter-finals of the 500 team main trophy on May 12, and then entering the 'best of the rest' shield.
Jubilant captain Trudie Almquest said: "It's the second highest award in cribbage so it's a prestigious award to win."
Millfields also won a £380 cash prize for their efforts, which they plan to put towards their entry for next year's finals.
