MALVERN Ramblers' Sunday II captain Andy Croft lost the toss and was asked to bowl first.

MALVERN RAMBLERS SUNDAY 2ND XI v OLD MOSELEY

Johnny Dovey and Mark Mitchell opened the bowling for the Ramblers. After a good start from the Moseley openers, scoring 21 off the first four overs, Johnny Dovey trapped Howarth for 13 and in his next over got the other opener, Godber, lbw for five.

Richard Bird and Ben Hughes came on to bowl and both bowled good tight spells and took wickets. Wickets began to fall at regular intervals. Croft and Francis both bowling good tight spells, restricted Old Moseley to 113 for 9 off their 40 overs.

Ramblers opening pair of Dave Sharp and Rob Francis got off to a flying start with Francis making a quick fire 44. Dave Sharp left the field after being hit by the ball in the face but with no serious damage being done. S Walker and T Wells continued the run rate before both were caught by good catches and it was left to D Arnold and M Mitchell to score the winning runs.

Ramblers reached the total after just 19 overs to win comfortably.
