John is 53 and has lived in the Wyre Forest area for over 20 years.

He has previous experience as a councillor, having served on both Worcestershire County Council and Wyre Forest District Council.

John has played a leading role in opposing the plans to site an incinerator in Kidderminster. If elected on June 7 he will continue to campaign against incinerators being sited in heavily populated areas.

Having looked into waste disposal in other countries, John believes far more could be done to encourage recycling.

In his spare time, John enjoys watching Kidderminster Harriers and walking his Airedale terrier.
